Albert Hall Mansions, Kensington, SW7
A sensitive and appropriate refurbishment of a large apartment in a Listed block, built as part of the Albert Hall Complex for the 1851 Exhibition. The block was designed by the architect Norman Shaw as the first French style mansion block in London.
The refurbishment was subject to a complex approval process which linked back to the original 1851 Exhibition Complex. It involved Freeholders, leaseholders and the managing agents and extensive consultations with Westminster for planning, Listed Building Consent and Building Regulations Approval.
We worked closely with the client to customise the interior design, creating a highly bespoke kitchen and a master bathroom incorporating chromotherapy technology.
