Square Feet Architects were approached to help with the concept design for the fit-out of a ‘new’ form of yoga centre in central Manchester.
There are complex technical implications with this form of yoga, which requires the studio to be at 45degC and 40% humidity. We worked, together with WhitbyBird M&E Engineers to design a bespoke and economical heat recovery system appropriate for this unusual programme.
We concentrated on the experience of a visitor to the centre – their flow from outside to in, from busy to calm, from tired to envigorated. The interiors were tailored to heighten the sense of well-being and comfort. |
