Castlehaven Community Centre, Camden Town, London NW1
Working with a local community group to improve their facilities and provision of services
Having been selected by competition, Square Feet Architects worked with this local community group who have transformed a corner of Camden Town. Their ‘campus’ includes a community centre, a nursery school with outside play, large football pitch area and changing rooms, and a ‘horticultural hub’.
These functions were a little unconnected, set around the Castlehaven Openspace. Working with a branding agency and the community committee, we proposed our ‘Bringing Together’ masterplan.
Phase 1 - reconfiguring and renovating the community centre - was completed Summer 2019.
