Henson Avenue, London NW2
We worked closely with the family who have lived in this house for the last ten years, now with growing teenage children, looking to upgrade and improve their home for their changing needs.
Our designs were lead by the shape of the site—the garden unusually turned to the side of the house—which set out the angle of the new extension, focusing the open plan family room / kitchen towards the garden.
The new internal layout was carefully considered to make places for the family members to relax, read, study, play music, cook or eat, either together or separately. We believe a good home provides the flexibility for family members to have privacy and independence, whilst being able to share experiences and ideas in communal spaces such as the new library or dining area.
We also created a new office space / media room in the converted loft space, and refurbished the bedrooms and bathrooms.
