‘Mikveh’ archaeological exhibit
In 2000 a 12th century Mikveh (Jewish ritual bathing pool) in the City of London was discovered during the construction of an office building on Milk Street, being the oldest Jewish London artefact ever to be found.
A specially designed exhibit was proposed in the grounds of Bevis Marks Synagogue, in the City, which had been designed by Isay Weinfeld, a highly regarded architect from Sao Paulo.
Square Feet Architects were asked to facilitate the realisation of this important and fascinating project.
“It has been a pleasure to work with Daniel Leon in different projects of the Spanish & Portuguese Jews’ Congregation. I have found him to be thorough and conscientious in his work and his architectural services have benefited our school and synagogue at Bevis Marks.”
