We were commissioned by a family who live in a semi-detached house which is locally Listed in a Conservation Area. The opportunity arose for them to expand and extend into its twin ‘other half’ of the pair of houses.

We are currently exploring various living options with the client, with the Mill Hill Preservation Trust and London Borough of Barnet, as to how we can best achieve the client’s ambitions.

Possibilities are to extend at the rear, creating a vast new family room in what was a north facing under-used terrace. The upper floors are being reconsiderd fully to provide new sleeping, play and study spaces for the children, and a luxurious new master suite in the converted loft for the parents.

An entire new basement level extending below the house and garden will house a 12m swimming pool, gym and yoga studio.
