TRANSFORMATION OF WAREHOUSE BUILDING INTO ARTS AND GALLERY SPACE IN NORTH LONDON
Excited to share a recent project in North London — the sensitive conversion of a former warehouse building into affordable artists’ studios and a flexible pop-up gallery space.
The brief was to retain the raw industrial character while creating light-filled, adaptable workspaces that support making, exhibiting and community engagement. Original brickwork and structural elements were preserved and celebrated, with new insertions kept deliberately simple and robust.
The ground floor gallery has been designed as an open, reconfigurable space — allowing for exhibitions, workshops and events — helping to embed creative activity into the local neighbourhood.
Projects like this demonstrate how adaptive reuse can unlock cultural value in overlooked buildings, supporting creative economies while retaining the embodied carbon and story of the existing fabric.
Proud to have contributed to a scheme that champions artists, meanwhile activation and long-term placemaking in North London.
