A NEW CHAPTER IN HOXTON MARKET
We’re delighted to be working on the renovation and extension of 15 Hoxton Market, exploring how thoughtful design can maximise the potential of this historic building while celebrating the character and stories it holds.
The building has lived several lives. Opened as the George & Dragon pub in the nineteenth century. It later housed a carpet warehouse, more recently MEATliquor.
At Square Feet Architects, we love pre-loved buildings: places with history, personality and a story to tell. Their quirks, materials and layers of change offer a starting point for design. Understanding what makes each building special helps us recognise both what deserves care and where there is room for something new.
We see ourselves as custodians of that history, with a responsibility to help buildings evolve and remain useful for generations to come. At Hoxton Market, our ambition is to bring together sensitive renovation and carefully considered additions, making better use of the available space while retaining the qualities that give the building its identity.
We’re looking forward to giving this much-loved piece of Hoxton a new lease of life—and adding another chapter to its story.
